How do i open a wallflower plug in scent refill?

i have a nice little wall flower scent thing and my scent just ran out i have done everything and i mean EVERYTHING to open the new scent plug in but the cap wont come off! are there any tips to get this little scent thing to open with out throwing it against the wall??

I had the same problem. I finally went out to the garage, got some of my husbands pliers, and used them. It worked for me. Oh, make sure you are unscrewing the lid the right way. It undoes the opposite way of most things.
