Potpourri Dish

What to put in heart shaped dishes on the table?

I already have table arrangements done, so I am not looking for ideas for that. We are using long rectangular tables. There will be center arrangements down the center. I was then given these heart shaped candy dishes. I plan on setting them on the far end of each table. I am trying to think of snack ideas or candy's to place in them. Looking for ideas on what kind of snacks or candies I should put in them.

Note: My wedding favors will be small canning jars filled with cookies and hersey kisses, so preferably not a suggestion of hersey kisses or cookies. Thanks.

These are the dishes. http://www.dollartree.com/floral-decor/vases-bowls-containers/Potpourri-Heart-Bowl/202c203c203p64466/index.pro

Thanks!

It might be nice to do mints, since you already have favors that are candy having an after dinner mint would be a nice touch and it would avoid any candy-redundancy. You could go as cheap as the normal spiral peppermints or as nice as the andies mints.

Or, it could look really neat to use rock candy or sugar crystal candy (the kind on sticks).

You could also do cinnamon hearts, if you want to add a little "something" to it you could add some fireballs in there too.

EDIT: there are all sorts of fruit candies too that you could use, if they match a food-theme. For instance, we are having raspberry filling in our cake, so if I was in your shoes I would put gummy raspberries and blackberries in it. Or if you have a fruit platter, you could get peach rings and gummy pears and cherries.

If you party is going late-night, you could do chocolate covered espresso beans. Or if you guests are all over 21, you could get the little chocolates filled with liqueur.
