... Will I burn in hell for using a 150 watt bulb in a projector with a 100 watt max? Or just blow up my kitchen?

I come from a mounting CB2 great to put on my kitchen table. My current device has three 60Watt bulbs and I love all the light, this new is for 100 watt-plus he only has one thing diffuser screen so that it will still be a bit dimmer. Anyhoo, I just hit a 150 watt bulb, but worry that I'm breaking the rules .... or do something dangerous?? Anyone know if defying Gods power bulb bite me in the ass? Thank you! ** I do not have to be smart - How do I respond back here? can you say I am a yahoo Q & A virgin? I do not even see an option! thank you very much for your answers, the CFL love the idea! we already use the most places, not not even occur to me! my husband would kill me if I burn the house down. I promise not to use the regular 150 bulb! **

Look for a fire, which is due to overheating of your limit in your power socket. I went to a house once where a lady has installed a light bulb 150 watts of light in his ceiling fan / light combo she had been removed so she can get more light and keep the cooler luminaire. She left for work and forgot to extinguish yep you got the fire and it was about 30,000.00 dollars to repair and the damage it could have been worse. It would have added a set of more lighting. The insurance does not fail to pay for this damage, because she had not gone by the UL of the device. If this seems to be a problem for you, I suggest you try a CFL bulb, and they do not go to a high lumens (which Menas light brighter and whiter) Try a 40 watt or an equivalent model with high lumens and you can get as much as incandescent bulbs of 150 watts and brighter if you get a 5000 or if k light bulb.1000bulbs.com
